Perfect Hair Day

What the heck does one do with one's hair, when her Saturday plans consist of cheering on Kindergarten soccer in the rain while wrangling the little brother...

(And these are just the parents...)

...a four hour drive in gridlocked traffic on roads that seem better suited to wagon wheels, accompanied by promises of tornadoes from the Weather Service...

Get out of the car and huddle up in a ditch,
if you ever see this out your  window, BTW.

...and a cousin's wedding with the in-laws on the beach in Jersey??

She calls upon her hair icons--women who have withstood the tests of time, Ewoks and fairy dust only to come out the other side completely unmussed:

Forget a ponytail (too sporty), a bun (too messy), or a pin-straight blowout (did I mention tornadoes?)

I hit a little blow dry bar in town at 7:30 AM and found the perfect solution to my pending madcap day:  A sweet but solid bit of boho braided beauty which my husband suggested was akin to Princess Leia meets fairy hair. (If you know the Mr., you'll know this is actually a compliment.)
