Never Say Never

Pre-Bieber, it was all about the Beatles.

Before Justin Bieber was a big, big star, he just loved playing drums for his momma.

The face only a mother--and 15 million fans--could love.

Then, after she did a little YouTube bragging, he got snapped up by a talent scout/agent guy and proceeded to haul his guitar and pouty lips to every radio DJ in the Northern Hemisphere. No talk show too small, he made a 'Belieber' out of everybody--not only due to his coy hair flip, but also because of his dogged and strategic pursuit of stardom.

I know all this, not because I am a huge fan (although hearing Baby, Baby is always a great opportunity to do some couch jumping in our living room) but because "Never Say Never" was Thunder's first 3D movie experience.

I know that you know that he knows we see him walking around LAX.

I think about Justin with his purple hat and little white sneakers, and the fact there wasn't a DJ left on the planet who didn't know this dude's name by the time he entered double digits. This kid conquered the 'tween music world, one screaming, frenzied eleven-year-old girl at a time.

When I have something important to do or organize, where I want an audience (from an autism fundraiser to heck, writing this blog) I remember the lesson taught to me by the Biebs--each and every fan is fabulous, every venue outstanding, every riff glorious.

It's all in the attitude, just ask Usher...

I do this in Zumba, too.

So in the end, get on out there--wherever your dreams may take you--do it with style, do it with sass, and:

Pick it up, pick it up (up up up...)
                                                                   And never say never
