One Minute Movie Reviews: The Bat & Catwoman Couture

You know it's going to be a good movie when the poster is all about a stiletto boot. ..

I took the Mr. to see Batman for his birthday. We hit the six story IMAX theater (a wonderful departure from our other favorite spot--the living room couch) and were enthralled by the third installment of Chris Nolan's Dark Knight series. The movie touches on big human nature themes--not simply good vs. evil, but also entitlement, love, commitment, fear, integrity, self-preservation, loyalty...oh yeah, and the most important one--Fashion!

Anne Hathaway really does threaten to steal the show (I almost wrote "your soul", but that's not quite right now, is it?) with her rendition of Catwoman. Not only do her outfits rock--I predict we'll be seeing a lot of body skimming leather ensembles this fall--but she serves up a multi-faceted villainess with brains, beauty and pretty deadly kicks to the head of any would-be attackers. A great pal to have around if you're dabbling in theivery, or just want to borrow a cool black dress.

As for me, I think I'll swipe Catwoman's red lipstick this fall--she can keep those shoes.

Looks like a matte, blue-red lipstick going on up there. From a 1950's ladylike silhouette to the jumpsuit in summer's hottest color (orange!) Catwoman "nails" it with her wicked chic style.
