Braids and Beauty

This happens to me every time I throw in a braid and walk to the store...

The Mr. just returned from a nine day surfing adventure with his buddies in San Diego.

The first thing he noticed (and commented on) was my cute braid-into-a-pony hairdo. Not on my superlative mothering skills in keeping the children safe and entertained on my own for the past week and half or the fact every last bit of laundry was folded and sorted. But my hair--which, truthfully, is totally awesome--because it's always nice to know the same fella who was in the delivery room with you twice still thinks you're hot. 

In the past, I have had the worst chin-length brown bob soccer mom mishap of a haircut and dye job and the lovely man has said nothing (we're past the stages of just being polite, I think). So I was psyched about the compliment and wanted to share some braided inspiration with you, dear readers...

Needless to say, next vay-cay I'm going surfing too...(Trip to grandma's, anyone?) 

Tightly wrapped: Duchess Kate in day and evening braids, one thick braid for Nic, Coy Kate with a bang braid, an unusually cheery Diane Kruger and Anne Hathaway sans catsuit.
